I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud…

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud…

A William Wordsworth (1770 to 1850) poem inspired by a spring flower. Suitable for B2 CEFR students and from Learn English (British Council).

This flower is yellow or golden, has a trumpet in the middle and 6 other petals.

Do you know what the flower is called?

Click on the title link above and read the poem.  Learn about::-

  • 'Olde English' poetic and romantic words
  • rhythm and rhyme in poetry
  • a poetic structure called a 'stanza'
  • and finally, reassemble the lines of a jumbled up version of the poem.
